We Use State-of-the-Art HD Scanning Equipment

We use a state of the art HD 1080p frame by frame film scanner to get the best reproduction from your treasured Standard 8 and Super 8 silent films.

Scanning systems for 8mm film to digital conversion are far superior to older conversion methods which can produce flickering, jittering, poor contrast, hot spots in the image, poor focus and washed out colours.

You can choose to have your 8mm silent films converted to DVD or MPEG4 (H264) video files to play on any PC or Mac computer. MPEG4 (H264) is a high quality file and an industry standard.

One great advantage of MPEG4 files is that they are editable. This means you can re-imagine the original films by cutting out poor images, rearranging the order, adding narration, photos, special effects, transitions, titles and mixing music of your choice.

We offer an editing service with 8mm film to digital conversion where you can come in and sit with one of our editors to re-imagine your old films.

The edited final product can then be transferred to DVD or another MPEG4 video file. You’ll be amazed at what you can create in a short time!
